Using the Schedule Builder

Arrange sessions on a visual timeline grid with drag-and-drop and conflict detection.

1

The Timeline Grid

The Schedule Builder shows your whole day at a glance: time runs down the left (6 AM to 11 PM), your rooms are the columns, and sessions appear as color-coded blocks. There's always an Unassigned column for sessions without a room yet, and day tabs across the top for multi-day events.

You'll need at least one room before the grid appears — if you see a prompt to add rooms first, start there.

Drag, Drop & Resize

Building the schedule is hands-on:

  • Click an empty slot to add a session at that time and room
  • Drag a session by its handle to move it between rooms and times — it snaps to 15-minute increments
  • Drag the bottom edge to resize a session's duration (15-minute minimum)

Changes save automatically as you go.

3

Conflict Detection

If two sessions overlap in time in the same room, the builder flags them: the conflicting blocks get a red outline and a warning icon, and the day's header shows a conflict count. Resolve conflicts by moving one session to another room or time.

Important

Conflict detection only flags double-bookings within the same room. It won't stop you from scheduling a speaker in two rooms at once — keep an eye on speaker assignments separately.

Managing Tracks

Tracks are managed right here, in the Track Manager sidebar of the builder. Click + Add, give the track a name and pick a color, and it becomes available as a tag on your sessions. Deleting a track leaves its sessions in place but unassigned from that track.
