How Gythr™ makes money (and how we don't)

Gythr has four kinds of fees, and we believe in telling you exactly what each one does.

Access Fee. Your monthly subscription. Free, Plus, Pro, or Business+. You know this one.

Platform Fee. A percentage on paid ticket sales through Gate. Free tier pays 3.5%. Plus pays 2%. Pro and Business+ pay zero. Free tickets are always free, on every tier.

Marketplace Enablement Fee. A percentage on revenue from add-ons that create new income streams for you. 15% on Partners. 15% on Book. 3% on Shop. You only pay when you make money.

Processing Fee. Stripe's standard 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction, passed through directly with zero markup.

That's it. No setup fees. No per-seat charges. No “talk to sales to see the price” on Plus or Pro. What you see on this page is what you pay.

Every paid tier includes the Switch Kit, hands-on migration help to move your attendee data, sessions, speakers, and sponsor info from your current tools into Gythr. Tell us what you're using and we'll figure out the fastest path to get you set up. No DIY import wizards, no “upload this CSV and pray.” Just real help from real humans.

And if you're using tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or Mailchimp and want to keep them connected, tell us. Bridge is how we connect to your existing stack, and we're adding new integrations as design partners ask for them. We're not trying to replace every tool you love. We're trying to replace the ten you don't.

Questions organizers ask us

What counts as a 'paid ticket'?
Any ticket you charge money for, at any price. Free tickets, comp tickets, and registration-only tickets have no platform fee on any tier.
Why are Partners, Book, and Shop add-ons instead of included in a tier?
Because most organizers don't need all three, and we don't want you paying for modules you won't use. You activate them when you need them, and you only pay a fee when they generate revenue for you.
What if I need Bridge on Plus?
Plus includes the Switch Kit, a one-time migration from your existing tools with real human help. If you need ongoing integrations with tools you're keeping around (like a CRM or email platform), that lives in Pro and Business+, and we're expanding supported integrations as design partners request them.
Is the founding rate really locked for 24 months?
Yes, as long as your subscription stays active and in good standing. If you sign up during founding pricing, your rate is locked for 24 months from your signup date. If you cancel, pause, or miss a payment, you'll move to whatever the current rate is when you come back. Keep the subscription going and your founding rate is yours for the full 24 months.
What happens if I run a free event on a paid tier?
Nothing changes. Free tickets are always zero fees, regardless of your tier. You keep all your paid features.
Can I change tiers?
Yes, up or down, at any time. Upgrades are immediate. Downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle.
Do you offer nonprofit discounts?
We're still figuring out what the right nonprofit program looks like, and I'd rather not promise something I can't deliver yet. But I'm an organizer too, and I get it. What if I need something Business+ doesn't include?
Email rebecca@gythr.com. For events with unusual requirements, we build custom arrangements with design partners. You might be a fit.
