Managing Comp Tickets

Allocate complimentary tickets for speakers, sponsors, and VIPs.

1

Open Comp Tickets

From the Gate landing page, click Comp Tickets. This is where you manage complimentary ticket allocations for the people you don't charge — speakers, sponsors, and VIPs.

At the top, three stats track your comps: Total Allocated, Claimed, and Outstanding (allocated but not yet claimed).

Speaker Comps

Click Speaker Comps to create allocations for every signed speaker who doesn't already have one. Each speaker gets their ticket plus a plus-one.

You set the two ticket types separately:

  • Speaker Ticket Type — usually your highest-access pass
  • Plus-One Ticket Type — often a step above general admission, but not full VIP

Setting them separately means a speaker's guest gets a sensible ticket without you over-comping a premium pass for every plus-one.

Pro tip

Run Speaker Comps once your speaker roster is locked. It only creates allocations for speakers who don't already have one, so it's safe to run again as you add more speakers.

3

Sponsor Comps

Click Sponsor Comps to generate allocations for your sponsors. The number of comps each sponsor receives comes from their sponsor tier (its comp ticket count), so a Gold sponsor automatically gets more passes than a Bronze one. You just pick the ticket type to allocate.

4

Manual Comps

For one-off complimentary tickets, click Manual Comp and set the Ticket Type, Quantity, and optionally a Recipient Name, Email, an Expires date, and Notes. Use this for a VIP guest or a partner who falls outside the speaker and sponsor flows.

Claim Links & Tracking

Allocations are grouped into Speakers, Sponsors, and Manual sections. Each one shows a progress bar (claimed vs. allocated) and a status — active, expired, or fully claimed.

Use Copy claim link to send a recipient a personal link to claim their ticket; when they claim it, a confirmed registration is created and the spot counts toward that ticket type's totals. You can Revoke an active allocation at any time.
