Payments & Payouts

Connect Stripe to receive ticket revenue and track your payouts.

1

Where Payments Live

Gythr processes paid tickets through Stripe, and your payment settings live under Settings → Payouts. This is where you connect your Stripe account and see the money coming in from ticket sales.

Importantly, Gythr never holds your funds — attendees pay you directly through your connected Stripe account, and Stripe handles processing, tax reporting, and bank payouts.

Connecting Stripe

On the Payouts page you'll be in one of three states:

  1. Not connected — Click Connect Stripe Account to begin. You'll complete Stripe's onboarding (business details, bank account, identity verification).
  2. Verification pending — Stripe still needs something. The page lists the outstanding requirements and a Complete Verification button.
  3. Connected — You're ready to take payments. Status badges confirm that Charges and Payouts are enabled, with a link to open your Stripe Dashboard.

Important

You must connect Stripe before you can sell paid tickets. Free tickets work without it.

3

Platform Fees

When connected, the page shows the platform fee Gythr applies to paid tickets, along with your plan (for example, "2% platform fee on paid tickets — Plus plan"). On higher plans this can be 0%. The fee is deducted automatically by your plan — there's nothing to calculate or pay separately.

Pro tip

Your platform fee is tied to your subscription plan. If you're running high ticket volume, compare plans in Settings → Billing — a higher tier can lower or remove the per-ticket fee.

Payout History

Once attendees start buying, the Payout History section summarizes your Total Revenue and Platform Fees, and lists individual transfers with their amounts and dates — mirroring what you'd see in Stripe. Funds settle to your bank account on Stripe's usual schedule (typically a couple of business days after a sale).
