Managing Ticket Transfers

Review and oversee ticket transfers between attendees.

1

How Transfers Work

Transfers let an attendee hand their ticket to someone else. Whether transfers are allowed — and on what terms — is set per ticket type in the Transfer & Refund Policy (see "Setting Up Ticket Types"). There you choose the transfer mode:

  • Gift — the ticket and its payment are given away
  • Repurchase — the new holder pays for the ticket
  • Both — the attendees choose between the two

You can also set a transfer fee and a cutoff (hours before the event when transfers stop).

The Transfers Page

From the Gate landing page, click Transfers. Attendees initiate transfers themselves, so this page is your oversight view — every transfer appears here for you to monitor. Each row shows the transfer from one attendee to another, the status (pending, claimed, completed, cancelled, or expired), both email addresses, the mode and any fee, and the date.

Stepping In

For a transfer that's still pending or claimed, you can Cancel it if something looks wrong or a guest changes their mind. Completed transfers stay in the list as a record. If no transfers have happened yet, the page simply notes that transfers will appear here once attendees start moving tickets.
